Where can I buy gereric polyether 10-20ppi foam/filter sponge in sheets or blocks?

here's one example of a place that has a store local to me... http://www.jondon.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=floor+pad

home depot and lowes carries them too in the tool rental departments, but they're too small and sold singularly, so it's not really economical.

but i don't think that's what she's looking for. i'm pretty sure she wants "filter sponge" but before it's marketed as "filter sponge" and bought in bulk. whereas, these are specifically floor buffing pads.

That I don't know. Looks like they have an online quote section and a minimum order of $150. Otherwise, I guess you would have to call.Never dealt with this company, just happened to find it on the internet. I've found that a lot of places like this will deal with individuals, or at least the ones I've been contacting about Acrylic and Fiberglass materials.

Here's another source, if you don't mind dealing with odds and ends: http://www.angelsplus.com/FiltersSupplies.htm
It's 20PPI pieces of excess foam from their filter manufacturing process for $4.75 per gallon. I haven't bought the pieces, but have bought a sheet of the same foam for use as a tank divider (really designed for use as a whole tank filter), and it has good flow and doesn't clog easily.

They will also custom cut pieces for you, including thickness, as long as they are rectangle/square pieces and for the custom thickness, one of your dimensions has to be 12" or less. The foams the have available come in 15, 20 and 40 ppi. They also have something they call bio foam that is 4" thick, but there doesn't seem to be a "custom thickness" option for this one. The prices are pretty reasonable, considering they are custom cutting it.

Formula to calculate price: Height x Width x Thickness x .042 + .40

I didn't go far enough on the site to get shipping charges...

I was considering getting some for my xp3 maybe the 15 and 40 ppi, but I haven't decided yet if I actually need those sizes.....hmmm.
