Where can I find a bubble ladder for DIY CO2?

This is getting so frustrating. My LFS doesn't have anything I need (not even filter floss!), and now I can't even find a bubble ladder online. :headshake2:

For filter floss you can use polyester batting(pillow stuffing). You can get this at walmart in the craft section, or in any craft store. It's the same thing, but probably cheaper than in the LFS.

I saw that bubble ladder but wasn't sure if it was big enough... Any idea if they come bigger?

I guess it would be better than an airstone either way.

Re: filter floss... thanks Sammie, I'll go get some of that. I was wondering about that.. you read my mind. :)

Eventhough my filter is a HOB? I think that would make it lose prime?

I have been looking at filters today, too. I guess I need to invest in a canister filter, despite the fact I just bought my Penguin HOB a couple weeks ago. All this trial and error is getting too costly. :(

Canister filters are better but you don't NEED to invest in one. You'll lose a little bit of CO2 but will still benefit from it. I've used DIY CO2 with an eclipse system before with noticeable growth improvements. Just raise the water level as high as you can to reduce the surface agitation.
