OK - got my new lighting fixtures set up and everything looks great. I've planted 7 new plants, which gives me a total of about 22 small to medium sized plants (java ferns, anubias, dwarf hair grass, wisteria, amazon swords, and some kind of fern). The problem now is brown and green algae growing like gangbusters. I'm cleaning the tank's glass every 2 - 3 days. Obviously, I still don't have something right. I now have 110 wats total for the 55 gallon tank. I have the lights on from approximately 8 am to 11 pm daily. Fish in the tank are: neons, guppies, 2 small angels, a clown loach, some plattys, and a gourami. I'd love to have some kind of fish that would eat the algea - but those kind of fish usually eat plants, too, don't they? Suggestions for a solution would be much appreciated!!
