Where do they use cyanide?

You tell us your sources are great but you don't tell us what they are. Lol, what are they?
Just habit, another site won't let you post the completion! My favorite is Liveaquaria. com (Foster & Smith). Marty Smith was my Vet 25 years ago, when I lived in the Wisconsin Northwoods. GREAT service.I once ordered a med size fish and they sent a large. They gave me a refund and I kept the fish..its now in a Children's ward at a Hospital.I also have used saltwaterfish.com with excellent results. If you check them both, they have different shipping & minimums; but both honor their guarantee and provide excellent service. Order one day, Fed-Ex at your door the next. I live a long way from a good lfs; but I would keep buying this way regardless. There are obviously many other sites; but these are the two I (and friends) have used. Be sure to get on Liveaquaria's Divers Den mail list! Every day you'll see lots of rare, expensive fish that are available.

I thought liveaquaria would be one. The prices may not be the best but it's worth knowing that the fish weren't captured using cyanide or anything like that. That's pretty cool that you knew Marty Smith.

I can say that my experience with them has been great and I think most responsible suppliers go to great lengths to avoid cyanide caught fish ; but IMO, no one can guarantee it, especially when dealing in 3rd world countries. BTW, a barbless hook in not the most inhumane way to quickly capture a fish...it works well with damsel removal too!
