Where do you get bigger tanks?

I'm glad this thread got going. I want a 75 to 120 for my growing community. I think I may end up going to the White Plains show to pick up a tank. Glad they make the rounds every 3 months or so. The prices are OK too.

if you're willing to drive to atlanta then you might not mind driving a little further north to marietta. i was at a store called Optimum Aquarium this morning and saw a 90g. There's another one in marietta called Atlantis Aquarium that might have some 90s. good luck. also check out craigslist, you might find something local

I drove to Tennessee for a 220 gallon and a nice stand. I rented a uhaul. I imagine that there is plenty available in Atlanta.

people put some pretty $$ stuff on craigslist but every so often you will see a good deal. i picked up a 55g for $30 last weekend

It's a pisser that PetSmart won't/can't order tanks at my local store; the one in Columbus will...

Yes, that's odd. Most places are more than happy to special order if you pre-pay. They're guaranteed a sale, and they have no inventory cost as the item disappears as soon as they get it. 'pretty much a no-risk money-maker for them. Maybe it's some Petsmart corporate thing.

Craigslist does seem to be the most popular way to pick up used tanks.

Going to go in Sunday (my "normal" PetSmart day) and talk to the manager-not sure exactly who I talked to on the phone.

i usually get my tanks built locally, if there is a local fishkeeping club you usually have someone who builds tanks/breeds fish etc.
