I got a 13 year old who makes money doing lawns, picking up poop, and baby sitting. She is a work horse. buys her own cloths etc. yeah, if a 13 year old can do it and carry great grades.... anyone can!
lol all the jobs i do but neighbors have been hiring lawn services :wall:
carrying great grades...im not to good at lol

VISA. It's everywhere you want to be.

Had a paper route when I was 12, been working since. Turned 16 and went to work busing tables....worked throughout jr. high, high school, college, and now it seems thats all I do.

very similar to me. first job at 14 as a janitor paid weekly. its never really stopped. homeschooled and worked oddjobs most those years. now im in college and i work 2 jobs to pay for the education. aquariums are a hobby i set aside a little cash for every month. its enough to support 2, 10 gallon tanks.

I sell fish and supplies. When that doesn't cover it, both hubby and I work.

I sold my soul to a corporation years ago to be able to afford what I want but before I lost my innocence I was a hard-working kid like many others here. I've been working since I was 14, and pulling in good grades in order to be even allowed to work.

I work for almost all of it but any gifts I get lately is usually for the aquarium.... I might be a little difficult to shop for. (here's a hit... give me CASH!!!). Then I can make the run to the hardware store or petstore and get what I need.

My wife gets all those stupid gift cards and goodwill gets most of rest.

Like many others here, I got my first job at 14 working fast food. Then i joined the airforce at 18, working my way up to flying a certain tilt rotor aircraft now. But i still have to beg my wife to let me buy stuff to get my fishy fix.

Working full time for more years than I want to admit to paid for the equipment I started breeding with. Used 20 gallon tanks for $12, 10's for $4. First spawn of 200 angels, at $1 each, paid me back, with some left over. The left over got rolled into more tanks & gear.

Do this enough times, and everything is paid for, the fish buy their own food, cover their own utilities, and leave some extra money for me to play with.

I'm surprised younger folks don't breed more, easy money if you have no job. I could double what I put out of my fishroom if I didn't have to work. Problem is it would have to be somewhere around five times to match what I make working full time.
