Two 10 gallons (FW + SW nano) in the den/office
25 gallon FW TV in the living room
90 gallon reef in the family room
29 gallon FW in the bedroom
When I lived in San Diego, I had 15 tanks in a shed out back. The heaters kept the tanks plenty warm in winter, but boy did things heat up when I got the electricity bill. Wouldn't even think of putting a tank in an unheated room now.
Well we have tanks at 2 houses..
the 50 is at my bfs house in his room
also he has 2 5's, 2 10's.
The 90 is at my house in the living room, i have a 10 G in the family room, my betta fry are in the kitchen, and i have numerous bettas all around the house
My tank is in the living room. I had read forums that said that my cichlids would be shy and not like having foot traffic pass them, but they actually come up to the glass anytime something's going on and they follow me if I go from one side of the tank to the other.
I also appreciate the humidity that the fishtank provides, since Minnesota winters are horribly dry.
2.5 gallon: my young sons bedroom
It has a couple of "glow-in-the-dark" plants and "glow-in-the-dark"
treasure chest.
1 (2.5 in) Blue & Red Betta
1 Gold Inca Snail
29 gallon: Family Room
It has a natural decor sytle, with a few fake plants and a fake
driftwood decor.
1 (7 in) Fancy Butterfly Koi (currently looking for a new home)
2 Black Mystery Snail
72 gallon bow-front: Master bedroom
It have tons and tons of fake caves and natural decor.. so there are
at least 18+ different hiding places that I can come up with.. the
tank also is heavy planted (fake plants). So far everyone is getting
along great. (knock on wood... lol)
2 (2 in) Bala Sharks (will be moving to friends 500gal when bigger)
2 (0.75 in) Red-tail Sharks
1 (2 in) Rainbow Shark
1 (2 in) CatFish Shark (will be moving to friends 500gal when bigger)
5 (1.5 in) Zebra Danios
1 (2.0 in) Chinese Algae Eater
5 (.75 in) SwordTails
5 (0.5 in) White Clouds
3 (0.5 in) Green Barbs
3 (0.5 in) Tigar Barbs
3 (0.5 in) Gold Barbs
3 (0.5 in) Cherry Barbs
2 (0.25 in) freshwater Drawf Puffer fish
We are planning on getting algea eaters this weekend maybe a pleco
and a couple of snails.
Once I find a new home for my Koi, I'm not sure what I want to do
with the 29 gallon. I have thought about either a heavey real plant
tank with small fish like White Clouds, Neons, etc. or doing a sand
and rock decor with Cichlids. Guess we will see when the time comes.
