Where should I put my leopard ctenopoma?

He ate some worm today. Will he eat nls or shrimp pellets though? I mean I'm fine with worms but I don't want him to grow really fast BC I have to get my Congo tetras and they'll be kinda small.

My old friend had one the size of a small nerf football. It got chased out by some poorly added shellies, sadly. The thing would hunt, hunt, hunt in the most awesome of fashions. They do enjoy low light and plants but other than that they are wonderful little fish.

He ate most everything.

Literally.

Right now the tank is kinda bare. There's places to hide but very few plants. I'm waiting to build the stand before adding sand and everything. I have a piece of driftwood comming so hopefully that will make him feel more at home

He will be fine. My ate everything I ever fed. Pellets, flake, but obviuosly preferred the freeze dried blackworms that is the staple diet for most of my fish.

OK are they aggressive eaters or passive? Do I need to target feed him?

From what i understand they will stalk their prey and wait for them to come within range to strike. So id say more passive than agressive. An agressive hunter would just go nuts and chase the pray relentlessly until they can get a hold of it

So I would need to spot feed then BC the achoolers get food first.

Yes, definitely more passive....I didn't "target" feed him....but made sure i dropped worms on his "side" of the tank.
