I have 2 electric labs and 1 electric blue lab (if thats its real name) in a 30gal. but im goin to daves in san antonio with austinpetemo in a few weaks and i want to get some ikola sunspottes and a goby chiclid. My only problem is that i dont know if i want to sell my electrics? i really like them alot. or should i put them in a seperate tank. i have a 10 gal and a 20gal but i dnt thinks thats big enough so im thinking im just goin to sell them to daves if he'lltake them.

30G is too small for mbuna (your yellow & blue fish). Better to rehome them than put them in that or anything smaller.

edit : what do you mean by ikola sunpottes ? Tropheus Moorii Ikola ? Frontosa Ikola (Ikola is a geographic area in lake tangayika). Either of those need minimum 55 G for tropheus, probably 125 for adult frontosa.

Nice article on goby cichlids here...I think you can have a pair in 30G and maybe that's what you should be thinking of keeping in the 30 http://www.thecichlidgallery.com/article_eretmodus.htm

yep... housing those types of fish in a 30g is not only cruel but asking for disaster

I recommend rehoming them, or upgrading to a 55g minimum

Yes, rehome your mbunas or sell them and make the 30gal a Tang community tank with shellies (sunspot brevis is very nice) and other small cichlids like goby cichlids or julies.

I 2nd the above info and Brevis should do quite nicely in the 30gal
