Does the eggcrate go inside the tank or under the glass bottom?

Jimmy, some folks use it for a tank divider to separate fish from each other; usually aggressive cichlids. Others use it inside the tank on the botton to keep heavy rockwork from laying directly on the glass. I use it for that and also have a couple layers on top of the UGF plates in one tank to keep the diggers from baring the plates. I know of no reason to put diffuser under a tank.

I got mine at home depot but it wasn't with the lighting section. I found it in the section for drop ceiling panels.

hehehe Nora you are so right i went to lowes and said i needed egg crate and the look the clerk gave me i was like OK and when i found it on my own the label clearly said egg crate where it was placed on the rack hehehe..
