I would say that assassins definitely will NOT eat your shrimp. They will eat food other than snails, such as leftover fish food. Just give your fish a little extra, and the shrimp will survive fine. Good luck.

Mine eat shrimp all the time.

I have three in my shrimp tank. Haven't seen them eat any shrimp, or snails for that matter.
