Where to get slate?

I guess then its the bad batch in my store..

But non the less, slate is great in the tank, tons of things you can do with it.
What are you planning to make with it?!!

One of my LFS's have a kind or random pile of slat in one of there giant tanks and they put some airstones in it so the bubbles flow out from under some of the pieces. Makes me think of a reverse waterfall. Very nice.

Something like this only they used the dark grey colored stuff:

ahh nice nice i saw that 2 in my lfs. Or they make a cave but the top part is on a 45degree slant and bubbles run along it..

You can definitely do that with the slate tiles from homedepot..
