So directly into the filter intake eh...how does that work without diffusing the Co2 before reaching the tank? Sorry, I'm a horrible visualizer...

It looks like a have a project for next weekend though, which is good because I finally want to get this tank going on the right track for the plants.

gas goes into filter and while it travels through the hoses and the whole canister it gets diffused into the water. If you would like you can get a limewood airstone on the end of the tubing so that way the gas bubbles that will be released will be micro size.

Ok I need help here...I just setup 4L worth of Co2 and connected them all. I took off the cap on the intake of my Rena XP1 and it shutoff. I got it running again but how should I diffuse the Co2 then?

jpappy, from what i have read the co2 gets sucked up into the canister and gets chopped up by the impellor and sent back into the tank
