Which aquascape looks best?

one or five, both are pleasing to the eye :)

I like 1 and 5

Finally got my substrate in, and went out and got some rocks from my local landscaping place. I went with a rock they called core rock, but from my research it's a type of sandstone, I think.. These are interesting pieces, they have holes through them like holey rocks do.. Anyway I'm playing with placement of them, and wonder what you all thought..

So far I like placement in pic, 1 the best. I'm thinking of busting up one of the rocks so I can has some smaller pieces to play with..

thanks everyone... What time I was working on setup, and having my hubby bust up one of the rocks for smaller pieces he ended up splitting the rock to the left in the first piece by mistake. -crys-

So I think here is the new scape... Does it seem to even out? Do I need to increase the height to the stone on the right by building the substrate up some?

I would have went with the 5th piece, but that big stone is heavy, I'm little afraid the weight would be too much on the glass. Not to mention the water that will be displace from it too..

Fish will be red tail goodieds and either yellow or green shrimp.

If I had voted earlier I would have voted 5.

But as your scape stands now I'd leave it as is. Maybe you could build up the substrate to the right a bit to bring that stone up some (if you'd like), but not too much or else it'll look like you're over compensating & might end up looking even more unbalanced.

Personally I'd leave it as is, I think it looks good. It's a good base for your scape & you can always "tweak" the symmetry of your scape with plants later on.
