Hi everyone,

Was wondering what test kit brands do you use? Which have you found to be most relaible, acurate and affordable for plant tank use?

I am looking for new test kits for PH, GH, KH Magnesium, PO4, Nitrate, also maybe Iron.

Also where is the cheapest place to buy them?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I use aqarium pharmaceuticals or wardleys...

Anyone know if those test 'strips' you dip into the tank work?

I saw them at petco, 15 bucks for 25 strips... they test for : pH, KH, GH, Ammonia, Nitrites and Nitrates all on one strip... Can't remember the name but it was either A.P. or warleys...

The Hagen Master Test is impressive, but it is missing Magnesium and has a buncha test I dont need. Thanks for the suggestion however I may just go with it and get a magnesium test from some other manufacturer.

This is another one of those topics that everyone has their own opinion on. I use Seachem for the most part. My pH test is a simple AP liquid test, since Seachem's is for salt water (too high of a range).

It's been said La Mottes kits are the best, and the most expensive. I use AP test kit.

All great suggestions, but where is the best place online to get the kits for the best price? Thanks in advance for your replys.
