I've been to MFK a few times... and I just didn't really want to go back there... just not exactly the kind of site I like.

Been on here for awhile now, just recently joined MFK.

It's apples and oranges really; two different markets.

MFK is a little better on the DIY, but AC has more info for the fishies I keep (except no invert forum here:))

i go on MFK to look at pics, but i like AC for the reason that 1. MFK seems to be all about larger fish, and i only have the room to keep smaller fish and know nothin about larger types of fish (even tho i love to look at the pics section!)
2. i feel there is more of a community here and 3. i think it is sooo much easier to surf the threds here

I like to look at the site and I am a member but have never posted. I wouldnt fit in too well with my 'monster' danio's and tetra's.

I've been a member of AC only a month or so longer than MFK. I didn't vote, as for me they both serve my needs; more technical info here, I've learned so very much, posts get pretty quick responses, and I've made some good "'net friends" on AC.

As I get into bigger and bigger fish the folks at MFK are quite helpful and knowledgeable about them. Plus, it seems like even though alot of the MFKers are so much like the teenaged boys in my art classes, there's a lighter sense of humor running through the threads. And finally, as an artist, I LOVE the visuals at MFK!!!! Superior to AC.

So I do both!!!:sim:

for my two cents worth the duplication of services seems confusing and wasteful.....we don't have enough support to keep one organization healthy. My vote....run with AquarieCentral and let the others slip quietly away.

I made an account yesterday on MFK and it is an interesting website. It appears to have the same community and there are a bigger variety of fish there.

I like AC better because everyone knows pretty much everyone. Your questions are usually answered quick, and many more reasons...
