which eel would u rather get?

I just wanted to know which eel would u rather get cause im planning to get one in the future?

Fire eel or tire track eel?

Could someone also help me on posting polls?

depends on how large of a tank you have...without actually referencing (too tired atm and someone will correct me if Im wrong ) fire eels are the smaller of the 2.

out of curiosity where are you going with all of this?

What size tank do you have/are you getting...FW or SW? what fish do you want etc.

only reason I ask is Ive seen a few vague questions posted in both fw and sw...

Im planning to go to the fw side with a 125 gallon.I also would like to know how much bigger does the bigger eel grow than the smaller one?

I apologize I was wrong fire eel gets to about 40" and the tire track eel at about 30"

so you are getting a 125gal? one of your other posts said you have a 280gallon....

I actually have three tanks,a 125,280 and 55 gallon.The 280 has the tsn's and soon to have a red tail cat.My 55 is a malawi community that currently houses 2 kenyis,2 zebra mbunas a clown pleco and a sailfin pleco. I havnt actually bought the 125 but just finish moving some funiture so there would be room.Not to be rude or to brag but my 2 story house has enough room for at least 2 more 5 foot tanks.Fishkeeping is my life hobby so its why Im willing to spend and do this much.

so then I dont have to tell you that both the TSNs and the RTC will outgrow your 280 gallon tank?

you dont have to tell us about tanks taking over the house Over the years Ive had up to 8 tanks in my house at one time...down to only 2 atm. and about to add 2 more (180/300 & another 125 most likely).

out of curiousity who/where did you get the 280 and what are the dimensions and cost? Id be really interested to find out.

I know the cats will outgrow my tank but I like them alot and dont wanna give em away.I orded the 280 tank off the internet on a fish site sumtin like ebay but for aquarium stuff.It was around $1400 and took a month to get to my house.The dimensions of my 280 are 96x20x28
