I have a 29 gallon tank. I have my rescue fish in it from work. I work at Pet Supplies "Plus" and when the fish there have babies, they come home with me.

So far I have 2 Chinese Algae Eaters (returns that we couldn't put in our tanks), 1 Clown Pleco, 3 Fantail Guppies, 3 Albino Cory Catfish, about 6ish Black Balloon Mollies, and 3 Zebra Angelfish.

My question is, I have 3 filters available at my fingertips (or in my closet rather) and I am wondering which you guys think I shoud go with. I do weekly (sometimes bi weekly if I don't get a chance) water changes of about 25%.

My filter choices are Emperor 280, Whisper 60, and TechnoFlo Bio 150 (wierd, 150 gph but rated for 75 gallon tanks). All opinions welcome, but I will let you know ahead of time, I HATE ACs!!!

Thanks,
Daniel

Out of the three, my choice would be the Emperor 280. I like Marineland products. When they don't come broken in the box of course :)

Why not run two of them or all of them if they will fit back there, what is the point in having them in a closet. If they will fit on the back, run them.

Emperor and TechnoFlo. I am against the use of whisper products.

Many people are against Whisper, but I can't complain with mine. My grandma bought it in 1987. It is actually a Whisper 3 but is equivilent to the Whisper 60, so I put that so everyone knew the flow rate. Still goin strong almost 20 years later.

Run the Emp and the Whisper.

2 filters, 280 and 60.....:)

In regards to the Marine Land cartriges... don't use them. You should be able to find cartiges that you can pack with media of your choosing. Not much need for the carbon any ways if your tank is healthy.
