Hi Everyone,

My first tank has just finished cycling - as far as I can tell. Ammonia and nitrite at 0 and nitrate is about 5ppm. (Testing was done using a API Master kit)

It is a 20 gallon long. I used 6 Brilliant Rasborars for the cycle, and a bacteria product called Nite-Out II and Prime water conditioner, as reccomended by a LFS, and it took 3 weeks.

I am thinking of eventually having 6 cories, either Panda's, Skunk's or Julii's, and 2 Dwarf Gourami to go with the 6 Rasborars. So my Question is, what order should I buy them ? and which cories would be best ?

Thanks for any advice.

IDK about the fish, but beware of what the lfs tells you!

Do the cories last. They're probably going to be most easily affected.
My suggestion would be to look out for a honey sunset or similar gourami instead of dwarfs- they're never all that healthy in my experience.

if you went with panda cories you could probably go to 8 instead of 6 since they stay on the smaller side. and i'd only get one dwarf and previously suggested unless you can make sure you get a male and female, because the males will most likely harrass each other to death. and if you only got one gourami, i'd probably up the rasboras to 8 as well. =]

If you can find dwarf sunset honey gourami's I would recommend a pair with the Rasbora's you already have, and 6 dwarf corries. I like the false Julie Corydora cats.

If you are going for pandas, I would go for more than 6, maybe 8 - 10 as they are small cories. I would also have maybe 4-5 honey gouramis, because most DGs sold are male, and males fight. If you can get a male AND female, that would be nice in your tank :). (I have one of each sex :D) Also, how about getting 6 black phantom tetras or something similar to finish it off? Whatever you do, good luck :) It sounds like its gonna be a colourful tank :)
