i have whispers because they came in my kits. they're OK, but i'm definitely not in love with them. kind of cheaply constructed and the propellers have a tendency not to fit after awhile. i want to upgrade to either AquaClear or MarineLand Bio-Wheel. I've used a BioWheel before and it worked great, lasted forever, and never gave me any trouble.

When it come to HOB filters there are only two choices Hagens 'Aquaclear' or Marinelands 'Emperor'.
I favor the AC for its higher flow-rate and media chamber size and versatility.
My AC110's have been modified with the bio-wheel wet/dry bio filtration capability of Marinelands Emperor and Penguin Line of HOB's.
Add this to AC's very large and versatile media chamber, Flowrate/GPH and I have the best HOB filter possible.
No more contention as to which is the best, AquaClear or Marineland?

The best is Chiles modified AC110's! The best of the best.
