I read that for a DIY project it would be cheaper to use Accrylic... but if your buying one, glass.

EDIT: It's only cheaper to do a DIY for larger tanks, tank prices are usually reasonable.

glass is cheaper regardless of store bought or DIY. (unless you want to use starphire glass)
