Which is the better tank?

I hate tall tanks so I would go with the long and narrow one. I don't like narrow tanks either so if it were me I would go with a 180 gallon tank instead. I'm not a fan of overflows either since they take up room in the tank. Plus you can easily build your own that would function just as well or you can just use canister filters.

By the way, you can find AGA standard tank dimension here http://www.all-glass.com/products/aquariums/index.html

Another vote for long and shallow.

I just checked out that link. Heck, go for the 210! I just wanted to add that I thought long and hard about getting a tank with pre-drilled overflows- the look didn't look as 'clean' to me. I thought they were advantageous for a few of reasons though-

-If you're not the DIY type (I'm unfortunately not), then they're already there.

-They really blend in if you have a black background

-They don't take up as much space as I thought

-I'd rather have my live rock (saltwater) up against plastic than glass

With that said, if I had to do it over again I would've gone larger. I have really never seen anyone regret getting a larger tank- more stability, more choices, etc. Obviously of course for some people, there are always factors like space/money/etc.

How about going for one THIS size?
