I have a 10 gallon tank with a standard flourescent light right now. I have african frogs, though, that don't seem to appreciate the bright light.

Can anyone suggest a type of bulb that puts off enough light for easy growing plants, but won't be too much for my frogs? :D

Well, no, to be honest... not if you only have a standard run-of-the-mill light as it is now. ADF's do not like lighting, but that is why they require a densely planted (covered, shaded, etc.) tank. If you can provide lots of shade, the lights should be fine. I have kept my ADF's in a regular aquarium, and they never suffered.

Plants seem like a good idea. Thanks!

Right now the frogs have a black PVC pipe I bought at a hardware store to hide in, but I'd like to see them once in a while... :)

The frogs don't have any way of getting out, as there are no holes in the cover at all, and I use an in-tank filter. So any suggestions of good plants to get would be appreciated :D

I had some floating plants for a while, but they were so messy that I took them out. They were furry and had pine needle-like leaves.
