Which powerhead should I buy?

I think I need a powerhead to increase some surface agitation in my 55G, either side of where my spray bar sits there is not much water movement, and so I get surface build up.

It's my thinking that if I add a powerhead in one of those area's and aim it along the tank that it will help to move that water from each side in front of the spray bar and break up the surface scum.

But, which to buy? it is for a 55G, and I don't need anything fancy. Just something to move some water around. I think the only inhabitant of the tank who would be bothered by a jet of water is going to be my angel, so it does not need to be anything all that powerful. I also don't want to spend a fortune.

So, any recommendations?

Thanks.

Thanks, are the Koralia power heads any good? at the moment they are on sale at Big Al's (looks like around $20 off them all). A Koralia 1 is listed at $23.99 at the moment.

koralia pumps are good models. i am not sure what size to recommend for your tank though since it is a differrent design than most powerheads.

I'm using a Koralia 1 for circulation in my 58. Have to have it hit a rather large rock to dissipate some of the current, otherwise my vals and balansae would be laid over. Only been running it for 3 1/2 months, but no problems yet, knock on wood. Good luck.

the koralia 1 has a flow of 400gph so its gonna blow you angel around im thinking. if you dont want that much flow that i think a koralia nano would work its 240gph (right?) and that should be a little better. if youve never seen one of these in action their awsome. i saw one at our LFS and they are freaking amazing

Cool, will check out the nano as well. I don't want something to be blasting my plants / angel around, just enough to move those areas of water around.
