Which pump?

I have a CO2 system on order but I'd figure I'd build my reactor myself.

I know the just, bioballs in a PVC pipe and let the water swirl around. But I don't wanna plumb it into my filter for fear of reducing the flow.

So, I'm gonna ditch my korellia nano which has done me well in favor of pump for the reactor.

I'm basicly looking for something in the 100-200 GPH range with about 4ft head, submersible that I can stick on the glass in my tank somewhere in the back to hide it from view, output sticking straight up.

Kensfish has a few I may want to try.

If it is a closed loop like a canister filter (i.e. intake and outlet at the same level/in the tank with no open part underneath like a sump) then the head height doesn't matter, you could just use something like a maxijet to flow water through it.

Right....so any standard impeller-type powerhead should do the trick, like a penguin 660 or a maxijet 400 or something.

dont think PVC comes in clear. might be better off searching for acrylic pipe. ive only see pvc come in white. the cream colored stuff is CPVC and the black is typically ABS
