Thanx for the help guys. I'm really considering getting similis. For my other I do like the Caudos even though they are rock dwellers.

No ones ever kept that Leloupi? Or does anyone have a pic of an adult specimen?

I vote similis or multi. I would keep them if I could find them for a reasonable price. I've heard that once a colony gets going they can become very aggressive to other species (part of the colonial behavior), so a species tank would probably be best. I couldn't tell from your post, did you keep the two species together or in seperate tanks? I've heard shellies hybridize readily, but I would think that buying established pairs would eliminate that behavior (at least in the parent generation). Just curious about your experience.

Ha, I just realized who I was giving advice to, the new avatar fooled me. I'm sure you know a lot more about shellies than I do xhibition.

well, the four I listed I have never kept. I'm not planning on keeping them togeather established or not. I would like a colony so I think im going to try similis. I learned my lesson with keeping two species together. Although seperated by rocks and plants my male occie would always invade my brevis and cover up their shells. Male occies are a pain. I need to find some hard info on leloupi.

Once my brevis spawn a few times, I'm going to sell the whole lot off and get either similis or multis (once i start a project I gotta see it through). I want to see some real earthworks ya know. So far the brevis have been a bit dissapointing in that regard.

tell me about it. Justa tank of sing species shellies is my porject. I never saw fry because my calvus kept plucking them off. My brevis were quite the snorer and my occies IME weren't what everyone hypes them to be.
