Which Vals?

Thank you all. It sounds like I found my plant. Now I just need to find them.

i personally would mix a few different kinds of vals to get a nice effect. i have about three different kinds in my tank and i love the contrast of the darker leaves next to the bright green of another val type. all but one of my vals are along the sides, back corners, and some of the back of the tank. makes the ends of the leaves 'pool' nicely on the water surface on either end of the tank, away from filter flow, as my filters are nearer to the middle of the back of the tank.

I was always under the impression that Jungle and Giant vals were both Vallisneria americana

I think I've found that Vallisneria americana is jungle val, but I haven't looked into giant val at all... they might be the same. IDK.

plantgeek.com says that Valliseneria americana is also called Vallisneria gigantea (Giant val?)

It's official. Jungle Val, and Giant Val are used interchangeably. This is not to say for certain that they were originally the same plant, but people use the names interchangeably along with Vallisneria gigantea/Vallisneria americana.

cool... I'll try and get to the LFS's this weekend... lol, thinking 'LFS's' reminded me of 'ROUS's'... Sorry, watched Princess Bride last weekend... wife loves that movie...
