I'm looking at this bottle of "stress zyme" my husband bought :rolleyes: . I don't use it, but it doesn't remove chlorine or chloramines. It simply states it has bacteria to control ammonia and nitrites.

I went out and bought some Prime...you guys convinced me lol. Haven't used it yet but will tonight when I do another pwc. Thanks you guys!
 
Stress zyme is not a dechlor, but rather a supposed "beneficial bacteria booster." Their version of a dechlor is called stress coat. I personally use amquel+ and have had excellent results thus far.
 
I always use amquel and novaqua together..They dont sell prime in big bottles or that many places around here..
 
My mistake... I realized that I said I use "amquel+" when I meant to say "novaqua+" (ironic that I just looked at the bottle... I'm doing a water change right now)

I've been using AmQuel. I was looking to switch from AmQuel to something else. I've got prime now, hopefully it works out.
