I recommend Prime.

Yep, I went out a couple days ago and got myself a little bottle of prime to see how I like it. I'm hoping it works with my test kit.

Do people use Prime, because it is cheap?
Not by the bottle, necessarily, but it's economical because you use much less to treat the same amount of water (5 mL for 50 gallons, vs. 5 ml for 10 gal).

I also use prime I did not pick any of the options. Iuse prime because it is very concentrated a little goes a long way,and I have 6 tanks 120g,(2) 55g. 20g 10g and a 5g. I would go through lots of bottles of other stuff a month with all that water to treat.

Happy Prime User :)

Sounds like nobody uses Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Tap Water Conditioner. That's what the lfs sold me when I first started. Any reason NOT to use it instead of the favored Prime?

I don't know what the difference between "regular" Prime and "pond" Prime is, but here's 2L of pond Prime for a little cheaper. =) Any bit counts, right?

Drs. Foster & Smith Pond Prime

edit: Shipping rats @ ThatPetPlace.com & Drs. Foster & Smith...same shipping for either site.

Up to $30.00 $8.99
$30.01 - $70.00 $9.99
$70.01 - $100.00 $10.99

Whooooooweeee. That's the price for 500mL of Prime right there!

So let's see here. 2 liters = 2,000mL. 1 mL per 10 gallons. That's 20,000gallons. Holy crap!

Oh, shipping here is cheaper too!
$35.00 or less $7.45.

Thanks for the find!
