I am in the process of planting my 20 gal high tank. I need new lighting and was leaning towards one of these two

50/50

6700k

What would you recommend?

Does anyone know if there are any new $10 coupons for hellolights?

Isn't the 50/50 50% actinic? Better to go with the 6700K.

actinic in itself may not be bad..it largely depends on the light spectrum..if it is in the 'usable' range you should be fine.
my suggestion tho. would be to try and stick with a light that is beneficial to plants.

some actinic bulbs will enhance algae growth :thud:

Actinic
These tubes emit light only from the blue end of the spectrum and are used in marine setups to supply the blue that is missing from normal aquarium lighting but is required by marine algae, anemones and corals. They are usually only available from specialty aquarium stores and are not cheap. They have little or no application for growing freshwater aquarium plants.
