Whisper Filter making noises....

I've got a Whisper 10-30 drop in filter in a tank for my turtles. It started making noises yesterday, I mean really loud vibrating noises. I thought it was knocking against the tank, but I checked the suction cups and its all good. The water was alittle low, so I added some more water to the tank where the filter would trickle out just above water level. This didnt work. So I took the filter out and cleaned it with hot water, there is sand in the tank, so I thought maybe some sand got in it. This also did not work.

Is there something I am missing? Is there a way to take it a part to see if something is lodged in it? Any ideas?

how low is the water level? if the ater level is to low, the filter has to work really hard to get water through it, and it heats up and makes noises

Does it have one of those wonder tube things?

The water level is 3/4 of the tank. Its a drop in, it sits on the bottom of the tank so it doesnt have a tube.

Oh well have you checked for bubbles caught anywhere?

Ive checked everything. My mom says to clean the propellar thing, but I dont see one. Its made differently than a regular whisper that sits on the side of the tank
