I would like to know if someone has used both one of the whisper air pumps and the fusion, which was quieter and how was the quality, any problems?

Thanks.

Whispers are some of the quietest air pumps around. I've never had a Fusion, but I can attest to how quiet Whispers are...the arch design seems to really cut down on noise. However for a 24/7 pump, the deepwater pumps are the way to go. Even if they are not the quietest, the two diaphragm design really is brilliant and they put out a lot of pressure for their size! I got this one used from Ms Jinkzd: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290467445410#vi-content

Mainly looking for quietest since all my tanks have air pumps that are nice and work, but once upgrade the HOB filters to Perfects the air pump will be the noisest thing on my tanks and two of them on in my bedroom so I would really like some more quiet, currently have two aqua-techs and another air pump, not sure what it is off the top of my head, but if I can find something quieter than it is worth upgrading, thanks for the input.

Found both fusions and whispers on sale so am trying to see if I can afford to upgrade now so any and all intel is appreciated, thanks.

If you're buying a whisper air pump go with the AP150 or AP300. The blue dome style doesn't hold up very well IME, but the larger deep water types are excellent air pumps. You can run 2-3 tanks off a single outlet, I use the 4 of the 300's (2 outlets) to run 14 tanks in my basement.

Well if my local fish store can meet the internet sale price I think I might just go with the fusion because of the air adjusting know built in and if I can get them local just as cheap then I will go with the fusions feel free to continue chiming especially if someone does or has had both.

Got two fusions 700 really quiet all you hear is the air ornament and you only pretty much hear them if you have you hear right next to or in the stand, one got really loud yesterday, but I moved the knob back in forward smacked viola, not sure what that was about, only complaint is that it doesn't seem to have the advertised power, won't run anything at the bottom of my hex guess cause of the pressure, not sure it would really be able to run 15 air stones since it can hardly run two big ones and two small ones, but it is quieter and that is why I got it, so no complaints there.
