Interesting, I know.

Well, about a week ago i stopped at Petco and grabbed 10 ghost shrimp for my ten gallon, 7 are still alive (I'm impressed, actually). But, i've noticed three-four of them have white bands around their segments...It actually looks really cool, but for all I know it could be deadly...Any suggestions?

I would love to post some pictures, but all i have as far as cameras go is a Razr, and those pics aren't really good. Friend ran off with my digital camrea for a week, sadly.

Well, many different species of shrimp are sold as Ghost shrimp. Most of them are typically without color. Some do have color in their legs, rostrom, tail, or other places.

If the shrimp are acting normal (looking for food and eating), odds are they are fine. If they constantly swim, without stopping, they are under stress, and likely something in the tank is not to their liking so are seeking a means of escape.
