white cloudy water

i just set up my new 180 gallon acrylic aquarium and the water got cloudy. a whitish cloudy. i had this happen to my 55 gal when i put new gravel in with the water still in. but it took a long time to clear up. any idea on what it is and is there any way to clear it up. tried crystal clear drops. dont work.

bacteria do a couple major water changes. it could also be dust.

Bacterial bloom or under rinsed gravel probably. Or do you have sand?

Yeah what these guys said, either Bacteria or dust from your gravel... or if you have sand, you better have rinsed it VERY VERY thoroughly...

Do you have fish in the aquarium? Are you cycling the tank?
