I have a betta in a 5 gallon and I've heard white cloud minnows make good tankmates. I was wondering if this was true. I have the filter that come with the 5 gallon minibow and I also have a small world filter running next to it. If white clouds are good tankmates how many should I put in?

i have heard that they are able to live happily in both tropical and coldwater, but i wouldnt get any for a five gal.some good choices would be,
1 or 2 male endlers(if your betta is tolerant)
1 apple snail
ghost shrimp
if you can get endlers that is great, they are very pretty and are 1/2 " full grown.

I've done 3 white clouds in a 5.5 with a betta. I had driftwood with java moss, a melon sword, whisper internal filter, and heated to 76-78 degrees. I did a 50% water change every week (I do that to all my small tanks) and they got along fine and I never had any traceable amts. of ammonia.

Of course, it depends on your betta!

BTW, this same betta thought ghost shrimp were . . . delicious. . .
