the front and side of my tank has all these little white dots every where. My carb will swim up and eat them. Any idea what they might be.? The will populate the glass then go away, a few wks or moths later they come back.

thanks

I'd say 'pods.' I get a lot of teeny isopods and copepods on my glass, especially when there's a thin layer of algae on the glass.

well there are about 5 different spots all over the tank with these spots. they look clear on the edges and have a dark white line through the middle. I cant see any movement.

'Fraid I can't help with the id on your critters, but I have some white spots on my tank walls also-I thought they were baby snails cause you can see a visible spiral to their construction. They are about the size of the head of a pin (the largest that is). I mentioned it to my LFS lady & she said they were corals!!?? They had some like them growing in their live rock/coral tank.

She said the biggest difference is they don't move, whereas snails would (they circled the ones on the front glass, then waited to see if they moved).
I can't hardly believe that, cause my water is nowhere near high enough quality to have corals growing in it, but since half my live rock is from her, who knows? There are some of them growing on the rock I got from her, also.
Any guesses?

I thought Stephen's things were moving. Now I'm not sure. Maybe snail eggs.

SaltyC, your critters sound like tubeworms. Here's one in my tank, shot at high mag. It's about 1 mm across.
