there seem to be white paticles (little dots) floatingin my aquarium this has only started today (the tank was planted 3 days ago)

what can i do to make my water clear again

Turn off the filter and watch them. If they float up they are air bubbles, if they settle then they aren't. I had trouble with really fine particulate matter in my tank until i inserted a filter bag (tip of a nylon stocking also works) filled with polyester filter medium in the filter. It does a great job of filtering out really fine particles. If that doesn't work it is probably bacterial, and will go away once the infusoria population (tiny animals that eat bacteria) catches up to the bacteria population.

If you already have a filter with this type of media, then just give it a few days.

I think i figured it out, while the white does irrate me sometwhat my rummy noses are loving it, I onserved it more closely and it looks like the plants are just putting alot of oxygen into the air(or another gas) when the bubles reach the surface the pop like air bubles

nevermind i fixed it. It was a hole in the fake driftwood that was leaking very fine air everywhere. I replaced it with real driftwood
