One of my swordtails has white poop. It's not thin or stringy. Should I still worry about parasites? Two of my ghost shrimp turned white (I assumed due to molting) and one died this morning. I found half of it and then the rest of it disappeared. I'm hoping the white poop just means the swordtail ate the dead shrimp. Should I worry that something is going wrong with my tank?

My ph is fine but I've never tested anything else.

white poo can be the result of diet(food) bacterial infections and or parasite infestation.

I would suggest you get a master test kit so you can test all parameters of the water. in the meantime keep an eye on the fish.

you can treat if the fish does not improve in a day or two. is the fish eating fine? any signs of stress?

maracyn and maracyn II for bacterial , you can use jungle clear for parasites. I treat all my new fish in a quarantine tank and quarantine for a minimum of 3-4 weeks
