White spot on Dwarf Gourami

Hi!
I have a 10g freshwater tank with 3 neon tertras and one Dwarf Gourami. This morning, I just noted this white growth out of its side. It’s acting otherwise normally. I’m a newbie at this whole thing. Any ideas?

Looks like it might actually be fungal.

Unfortunately it could be the start of a downhill battle as Dwarf Gourami Disease can manifest in many ways, but I am hoping it is unrelated.

I would pick up some methylene blue to treat this guy, he badly needs an antifungal treatment
