White spots all over glass on inside of tank!!!

too bad you don't have a pic... my friend has cory catfish that spawn CONSTANTLY!!! they leave tons of eggs stuck all over the glass.

they dont look like eggs, by that i mean round, big etc...if i had to guess i would say there was prob. 400-600 white spots, can they lay that many?

I'm having the same thing....Just did an all-out clean on my 96g, and within 5 hous, the stuff was back.

It's some kind of algae. It's white, and it gets about 1/16" at the most. small enough to look like bubbles, but definetly hooked to the glass.

Me too, I have the same thing and have had it for a long time. You have to look close, right? I have a pleco who cleans the glass for me 8) Michelle

yeah you cant see it from far away, but up close (wow) its everywhere, well if you figure out a way to get rid of it for good, I have a pleco in my tank now but he never is cleaning my glass, just hangs out at the bottom and hides...least i know im not the only one with this problem

maybe limpets - freshwater mollusks with only one shell. they stick to the glass and move extremely slowly.
