White streak/patch on pleco?

I just went through a batch of ich but now my fish all seem healthy and fine--except I've noticed the pleco has a whitish streak on his belly and a couple patches (like the size of a pencil eraser in width and diameter) on his top. It's not ich. The white discolorations look like the texture of his skin, not moldy or fungus. Any ideas why his skin is lightening?

My Featherfin has a habit of getting to close to the heater and or filter intake.
When he pulls himself loose he gets little abrasions white in colour, Maybe your Plec is doing something similar.

Yes, during the ich my pleco would get very close to the heater--I thought maybe he'd burned himself but wasn't sure. He has been avoiding the heater recently so maybe these are scars and he's learned his lesson.
