This is first time I have ever had kuhli loach and it looks like they have Ich, I would just like to confirm it is Ich and not some normal kuhli loach markings before I start treatment.
I got 6 of them, so hopefully that is enough to make them feel secure enough to show themselves. Seems to be working there are always 3 out and about, and a couple poking around under the bogwood.
I am going to treat using 2 tsp salt per US gallon with temp at 30C (as per the old article), I have used the same method with Cory and Ottos in the past so hopefully should be ok. Will start treatment this evening (UK time).
Cheers for the confirmation guys, I didn't want to put them through the stress of treatment if it wasn't Ich.
FYI tank is a 40 US gallon with breeding pair of Blue ram and 6 cardinal tetra. The Rams only went through Ich treatment (although they themselves only got a couple of spots, it was some other fish that were carriers) about 4 weeks ago, hope they can take it again.
