who overdrives their NO T-8??

i just read a thread from a different forum that is much more into the techincal side of planted aquaria and i stumbled on to the greatest idea ever. for $60 i have the equivelent of a hood with 2 55w power compacts. i have 2 32W T-8 bulbs overdriven 2 times and they are so bright that they hurt my eyes. does anyone kow about this sweet trick?

I have never but I'm not against trying new things or saving money. Think I'll give it a go and see how things work out.
