LOL... Lego tank sounds quite creative actually. I may steal your idea for my invert tank! You can buy huge quantities of mega-blocks for $5 at Xmas time.
Are lego safe in a tank though? They won't leach out chemicals?
Wouldn't do it for my main show tank... but for a smaller tank- that could be quite fun... since it wouldn't be going down the realm of realistic environment like my main tank could put in some of the Crayola Play sand (yes, it's safe).
I like the bathroom tank too- although that's not enough space for those Goldfish.

We just sold the polly pocket stuff my kids had.
I have wanted to do a KISS themed fish tank, but the wife has vetoed it every time.

Supposedly the thing with the Crayola Sand is you have to wash it really well before hand and it's even more difficult than regular play sand to wash before using- but it's safe. (or at least according to a couple of threads I dug up googling it once upon a time it was safe)... Crayola's official response when people inquired was it hasn't been tested with fish but they have no reason to believe it isn't- and lots of people reported using it with no problems.

One "unusual" scaping idea I had considered was building a village underwater.
We had one of those kits as kids- where you can build villages, churches and castles and whatnot out of plaster of paris- they have the moulds for wall sections and windows and what not- and you just build the sections out of PoP and put them together to make buildings...
... I had considered builing an entire village (using resin) and those moulds- the buildings would function as caves.

that is a cute lil tank, and if done on a much larger scale would be just fine for the goldies.
i toyed with the idea of making lego caves for my 10 gallon betta tanks back in the day, but my kidlett confiscated the bucket of garage sale lego on me! lol. i bought that lego for the finkids dagnabit! oh well, didn't have enough lego to make a cave for my oscar anyway.......
