Who's going to watch the synchronized speeches tonight?

I gotta say, it's nice to participate in a forum where people aren't comparing one candidate to a "retarded Hitler" and calling the other "Mr. Tin Woodsman."

I love you guys.
I assume Chippy McFlightsuit is the retarded Hitler and Lurch is Mr. Tin Woodsman?
;)

There're some odd forums out there.

Wish I could vote... I know who I would vote for..

Unfortunaltely... I don't turn 18 until..somthing around 2 weeks after elections... I'm so mad  .

Lurch, that's a good one.

Yeah, that's about the size of it. And I happened to land in one of the more effed up forums out there (not this one, o'course).

Ahh the joy of youth lol... 4 years ago I turned 18 just in time to vote in the Manitoba provincial election. I thought it was so wonderful to do my duty as a citizen... fast forward to the present... I looked at the candidates in my electoral riding for the latest Canadian federal election, and said screw it. I've become a bitter, jaded person when it comes to Canadian (and American) politics and elections.

/rant off

:thud:

I too know who I'm voting for, but I really do think both major candidates are truly awful choices.

It is pretty terrible this time around. It is like voting for one of the Menendez brothers! Again, without spilling the beans as to who I am voting for, why, etc. I will share my thoughts on the debate last night.

George Bush:
- Again, arrogant sounding
- To smirkish; sure of himself to what I think is an unhealthy level
- Added comments when it wasn't his turn
- You could tell he was pretty peeved most of the time with split cameras
- Didn't address his own faults/mistakes

John Kerry:
- Smiled too much IMO, and shook his head when the president said things that Kerry didn't agree with, or stand for. Hello - you do not smile and supportively shake your head when someone is lying and spewing fourth unfounded facts about you!
- Didn't address many of the key issues directly, even when specifically asked to do so.
- He did give a pretty good level of "sure of himself-ness" during the debate, a plus.

This is JMO… nothing more, and nothing less. ;)
