Who's good with small block chevy 350's?

Nothing is wrong with it, it's a crate motor put into a truck I bought, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any decent headers that aren't overpriced. I've found a lot online but no reviews or anything

I wouldn't bother with Hookers as they are too thin. Also make sure that you tape them to help longevity unless you are building a show car. It's easier to tape them before you put them on.

IME With headers, get stainless, or ceramic coated, inside and out, or dont get any.
i have had all the hedman, hookeretc, and they all rust out within a couple years if not ceramic coated.

Do you want full length, or shorties?
Is it a Hi-Po engine, or is it all stock?
What type of Cam is in it?
what size carburetor is on it?
does it have stock manafolds or headers now?
How is it running now?

...and if it's a truck...do you really WANT headers? They tend to kill your low-end torque.

What kind of crate motor? brand/model/etc?

...

I have to disagree with that. I have built many racing engines and never found headers to kill anything. They in-fact help with torque and hp. If what you are saying was true, you would never find them in racing or any other motorsport.

I do agree with Zig about ceramic coating them - it helps to smooth out the exhaust flow.

The tahoe is completely stock other than a K&N intake and a 4" lift. I was looking at shorties for it and it's a 350 5.7l from chevy directly. It was running great when I test drove it and once it goes through inspections and I see all the paperwork from the motor being put in I'll know a little more so I haven't really bought it yet but basically it's mine when it passes inspections
