how many plants do you have in your tank as of right now? CO2 systems are not really needed for tanks with barely any plants and canister filters.

Heater isn't needed however if you have a tank having a heater set at around 65 will ensure that in the colder months the tank doesn't drop too low.

having a heater keeps the temp constant. Heater set around 65F? Heater is a must for tropical tanks unless you live in a really hot country like some arabian states. needs to be set depending on what stocks you have in your aquarium....
