YES aquarium lights are expensive so i got some from an electrical store for about $28.00 each and they come with electronic ballast wich last longer,run cooler and cheaper to run but still use aquarium bulbs the ones that come with them promote alge growth

When you get into high-end stuff, the reflectors are different.
A household or garage fixture is meant to distrube light to all corners of that living area or garage. An aquarium reflector on a high-end light setup puts the light almost straight down. Light that flies out the side panels of your aquarium is wasted wattage.
