I have two german blue rams, one male ,one female. The female picks at the bubbles on the bubble wand and when she swims away a bubble comes out of her mouth or gill. She does this all the time. Is it normal or is there something wrong? She seems healthy, eats well, poops well, colors are great, etc., etc..

I think you're fish were watching Finding Nemo while you were away. Now they are trying to act like the yellow tang that is obsessed with bubbles. Bubble bubble bubble. Bubble.:dance2:

Seriously, I have no idea. As long as they are not having any ill effects, I wouldn't worry.

Just play time.

i'd say it's neither normal nor abnormal. sometimes fish just do things for no particular reason that we can understand.

try putting the ph up to 7 and the temp. between 75 and 80 degreesF.
bad advice. rams like a higher water temperature and messing with the pH is a recipe for trouble.

I have a cherry barb the hides behind the CO2 ladder, and I will often see him poke at the bubbles as they float by. I don't think he is actually trying to eat them or anything, just pops them...
