I have a relatively new tank that is has been up and running for about 3 weeks. I've got 3 small orandas in there (2 are just over an inch and 1 is about an inch).

The three of them have gotten along fantastically for the past week. They seem healthy in all respects and have been very interactive and playful.

This morning I couldn't find the smaller one (Gibbler). I found him hiding. I tried to get a good look at him and from what i could see, he looked fine (fins looked healthy). He seemed stressed though.

At one point he ventured out and i noticed that the other two just chased him around and back into the hiding place.

What's going on? What could have happened overnight?

I tested the water chemistry before heading to bed and everything was looking good.

What size tank is it? What defines "fine" in terms of parameters?

My tank is a 32g tank, which i plan on upgrading to a 50-55 in a year. These guys are just tiny right now, about an inch and half each, so i figured that it should be fine to keep 3. They've got a lot of area to swim. Like i said, they've been great for the week and were hanging out all the time without any issues.

ammonia is 0; nitrItes are 0.5 and nitrAtes are close to 0
just did a partial water change on Sunday.

I have had agressive behaviour to and I found it was due to lack of feeding I was fasting them but mines are (considerably bigger) another thing is yahat they were in a 6' L 1 1/2 D 2'w tub but you can see I would be leaning to the feeding or lack there of but not a 100 % and it stoped after I began feeding normal but with you it could be different

Got home from work and everything's gone back to normal... they were there, all 3 of them greeting me at the front of the tank. No aggressive behavior at all and all 3 are swimming around and hanging out together. weird.

i'll have to keep an eye on things, especially in the mornings...

what you need to do is large water changes to keep the nitrites at zero as often as possible while the tank is in 'fish in cycling' mode.
